MATV Master Antenna TV System
A communal system which works but is unable to connect to a satellite receiver.
IRS Integrated Receiving Systems
A communal system which is common for flats and housing estates, only one satellite dish and aerial set required to feed the system.
SMATV Satellite Master Antenna TV Systems
Generally used for hotels. SMATV systems have one receiver per satellite channel which can then feed a TV aerial system. Connected TV's can access satellite channels, without the need for a satellite receiver box.
There are also other alternatives including Cable TV services, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and Multi Distribution Box.
